Wild & Raw Greens

Dark green leafy vegetables are, calorie for calorie, are the most concentrated source of nutrition of any food group.

Greens are a rich source of nearly all of minerals & vitamins (B12 is the only one absent). They also provide a variety of phytonutrients including beta-carotene, lteuin, & zeaxanthin, which protect our cells from damage & our eyes from age-related problems, among many other effects. Dark green leaves even contain some amounts of Omega-3 fats.

Borage leaves and flowers

Chickweed, Clover

Dandelion greens and flowers

For Optimal health, human need to consume at least 2 pounds (1 kg) of greens daily. It can be easily  achieved by drinking 1-2 litres of delicious Green Smoothies. (see Alive Recipes)

Studies showed " it was common for our ancient ancestors to eat up to 6 pounds of leaves per day.

Wild Chimpanzees (share 99.4% genes with human) consume much more Greens (40% of total food intake & with over 100 varieties). These animals have extremely strong natural immunity to fatal human illnesses; and also are 3 times stronger than human physically .

People on SAD or any regular diet not even eat the minimum recommendations of 3 cups of dark green vegetables per week, let along the raw & living greens.
